I want to give you my original
“Five a Day” journal for free

From Struggle to Solution: My Personal Transformation. The Lion State Journal was born from my own journey through adversity. After spending over two decades building a life and career, I faced a devastating setback that left me feeling lost and overwhelmed. In that dark place, I realised I needed to rediscover myself and reclaim my sense of purpose.

I needed some type of guidance and support

I’m not the type of peron to talk but still was desperate for a way out, I began researching methods to improve my mindset and wellbeing. Through countless hours of reading and reflection, I discovered a simple yet powerful tool: journaling. I tried various styles and formats, but none fully met my needs. Frustrated, I decided to use my graphic design background to create something that would truly benefit me.

the five a day discovery

What emerged was a structured journaling system I called at that time “My Five a Day”. This approach consisted of five distinct pages that I filled out daily, each designed to guide my reflections, my day and support my mental clarity

Page One:

Assess and Acknowledge Your Feelings: Important to any healing process. A page dedicated to recognising your emotions and understanding where you are mentally.

Page Two:

Set Your Goals: It’s important to have something to reach for. Space for outlining your objectives and intentions for the day ahead.

Page Three:

Manage Your Time: Managing your time realistically helps your self esteam by avoiding underestimating what time you have in a day to complete tasks. Tools to help you plan and prioritise your tasks effectively

Page Four:

Revisit How the Day Has Affected You: Things happen in a day beyond your control. Reflect on the day’s events and how they impacted your mood and mindset.

Page Five:

Reflect on Your Day: I say to myself every day “What you do today will shape your tomorrow”. So undestanding what has happened is a good start for tomorrow. A space to summarise your experiences, lessons learned, and thoughts.

As I committed to this daily practice, the changes in my mindset became evident. Friends and family noticed the shift and began asking what had made the difference. Inspired by their curiosity and the positive impact my journaling had on my life, I knew I wanted to share this tool with others.
